2018 Winter Workshops!

Grooming:  Building a bond from the ground up

For All Ages and Abilities of Horsemanship!

Attendees will learn how to groom and work around horses in the crossties safely.  Attendees will have the opportunity to experiment with numerous types of braids and winter grooming techniques on calm, willing horses of all sizes.

This is a fun activity for a group of almost any size and age! 

Horse Lovers love this as a Birthday Party!!

Cost is $35 plus HST per person for a two hour session.

Horse Safety on the Ground:  more than staying out from behind.        

For All Ages and Abilities of Horsemanship!

Attendees will receive an introduction/review of basic safety rules around these beautiful 1000 pound animals and a chance to practise.

All attendees must be able to demonstrate all skills in order to receive their certificate.

Liberty Training: How and Why

 This workshop is for those who are more experienced.

Attendees will receive an introduction to the basics and benefits of Free Lunging as a training/partnership building technique.   Attendees will have an opportunity to use this technique on a well trained horse in our arena.

Space is limited!  (but we have a wait list!!)

Cost is $55 plus HST per person for a two hour session.

Unchain the Behaviour        

 This workshop is for those who are more experienced.

Attendees will receive an introduction to the basics of escalation of behaviour as it pertains to horses.  How is your horse feeling and how do you help them through it.

Reactions are key to diffusing little incidences.

Attendees will have an opportunity to examine and use recommended strategies on a well trained horse in our arena.

Cost is $55 plus HST per person for a two hour session.
